[I stumbled across Danielle on Twitter and immediately recognized a sister Gemini (we were born on the same day, after all). Nothing makes me feel more hopeful about the world as when I connect with a witty, savvy woman. Danielle is one of them. You'll be seeing lots more of her in the coming years--I guarantee it. Keep your eye on her website, White Hot Truth and be sure to read her Manifesto of Encouragement, easily one of the best posts I've read this year.]

1. Many of my clients–mainly women–are eager to leave their jobs & live their passion. However, they are afraid of a) financial ruin & b) societal pressure — i.e., if they want to do psychic work, etc. What’s your advice?
Know how you want to feel and do whatever it takes to create that feeling. When you’re clear about how you want to feel in terms of your vocation — your whole life for that matter, you’ve got a true foundation create on. From there, you will have the clarity and stamina to dissolve fear, you will think more strategically, you will MANIFEST, baby.
2. Your Manifesto of Encouragement is a fantastic, magical read. What was your inspiration? Any plans to expand it into a longer work?
It actually started as a doom n’ gloom piece. Uh huh. I was going to write out a list of all the dark things happening in the world at any given moment and wrap it with the obvious point that there’s still so much to be grateful for. And then I took a hard left and thought, ‘the world needs more… ENCOURAGEMENT.’ And I wrote it in about an hour. It’s been forwarded over 6000 times now. Wild.
I’m making it into a small printed booklet. And maybe a text art poster. And billboards. (just kidding about the billboards.)
3. As women living in this particular time, we are both witness and participants in the rise of the Divine/Sacred Feminine. How do you see the world changing as a result of this influence?
I believe, on the deepest level, that everything is progress and that the universe is always moving “forward.” And I think the sacred feminine is just what the world needs for a little extra … forward lift. The inherent qualities of inclusion, tenderness, intuitive perception — those energies that tend to reveal, and heal, and weave, rather than divide are alive everywhere. Progressive business, movie-making, holistic design, environmentalism — the divine She is showing up and she is radiant and knows what’s up.
4. Despite being a well-known public figure on Twitter & various speaking gigs, you call yourself a “deeply private” person. What’s your practice in staying grounded?
I tend to talk about what I think about things, not as much about how I feel about things — subtle defense mechanism that’s a blessing and a curse. I don’t write about my romantic life or my family. I have amazing girl friends, like, soul sisters. And my home is my temple. Super sacred space, great tunes, and lotsa highgloss white = daily grounding.
5. Name 3 things that make you want to get up in the morning.
My son. My craving for creative freedom. Vancouver, a city I adore.
5a. How did the mohawk experiment turn out?
Ha! Thanks for asking. It was a bad idea that needed to happen. It looked hot…for about a month. And it gave me a lil’ freedom rush. But…mohawks are a bitch to grow out. Good thing I have a lot of hair to work with.
