I fell into Tarot because that’s what showed up as I began to explore healing. I’ve used other forms of divination — Runes, IChing and dowsing — but Tarot is where I channel in the most natural way. It’s the combination of image, color and story that lights up my brain and I like having a tangible product so clients can also learn the cards, if they choose.
However, I’ve struggled with the term “Tarot Reader” for a long time because it limits my gifts into this ONE THING. I’m a healer, teacher, speaker, guide, artist, writer and coach (though that’s not my favorite term). But that is one long-ass name for a website and I avoid the out-there terms that some healers use. I’m just…me.
I chatted with The Suburban Monk about this — and she struggled with defining what I do. “It’s like you guide and coach…but it’s not even that,” she said. “It’s like I come away with a renewed clarity and hope.”
Maybe I should call myself the HOPE GIVER. I’ve always told my students that the one thing that will guarantee success is if they leave their clients with hope. It’s a rare commodity in these chaotic times and essential for a session, no matter the situation.
I will continue to use the Tarot to help others but I am passionate about connecting with live audiences. I can’t wait to chat about spirituality, healing, connection and other fascinating topics. I’m a Gemini — I love to talk!! You’ll see more of this as I chat with Biddy Tarot, The Sanctuary and Hobo Safe Camp Publishing. I’ll also offer Q&A’s online and start branching into live events in varying communities later this year. The Tarot brought me to point and I’m grateful. There is so much ahead! And yes, I’m still offering intuitive sessions.
