What’s the one guaranteed, super-duper successful way to draw people into viewing your website for more than a nanosecond?
Show your beautiful, smiling face.
That’s it.
Then write your bio. One with your voice. Your own particular voice that you’d use when making me a cup of tea in your kitchen. Tell me why you do what you do. Make me laugh. Make me choke up. Make me want to know more.
Strip out the bullshit. I can sniff it all the way here in little ol’ New England.
Show me you. I need to know you before I care about your product. You can sell me the moon — but if I can’t look into your eyes and/or view what you’re all about, the moon can wait.
Far too many woo-woo websites — and yes, I’m talking about you, my woo-woo sisters and brothers — are moody and mysterious. Please. If I wanted that, I’d read the Twilight series.
Come out of the metaphysical closet. It’s not the 1600s anymore, my beauties. No one is going to burn you at the stake. Not in this lifetime. How can I say that with such conviction? Well, it all comes from being gay. The more gay folk come out of the closet, the less scary we are to those who fear us (“us” being the projection of their issues/beliefs about “the gays”).
Same goes for the metaphysical community.
We live in a time that has been called forth for many centuries. So, it’s time to show your face and let your great gifts shine. It’s time to live fully in this world and stop apologizing for being intuitive, sensitive, a healer, a witch, a prophet, a nurturer, a tree-hugger — or a label-less one who carries in their hands the ability to heal with one touch or word (they exist, trust me.) It’s time to acknowledge all of the ones who once greatly suffered for the same work that we do now — and have more than likely returned to complete that cycle.
Let’s join them.
The more we come out of our various closets, the less there is to fear.
Start by showing your beautiful face.
